Can you manage a device in SMC v6.0 without installing the client app?

We have just upgraded from v.4 to v.6 and it now looks like you cannot manage a device without installing the client app. Is there a way around this? As it now means that you must have an apple account and a Microsoft account to enroll a device.

    Hello,

    I use the SMC since 5.0.8 and now 6.0.5, so far I know, the Sophos Mobile Control App is necessary to manage your devices!

      Hi All,

      for iOS with SMC 6.1 as an admin you will be able to send out a link where the mdm_enrollment profile can be downloaded.

      This way, you will not need an app. Alternatively, you could also use Auto-Enrollment or as of SMC 6.1 Apple DEP.

      There won't be a change for Windows Phone / Windows 10 Mobile.
