Sophos Security for android hacked Sophos Mobile Security 5.5.1717(14)

Sophos Security for android hacked. I have most of my apps in APP protection on my new Gal S5900A, the phone is also encrypted. When I boot the phone I enter the Sophos Primary password. The phone boots. I changed the app password and forgot it or it was changed by the hack. When I attempt to use APP password change pop-up. I can not enter my primary password. The password uses the letters "o" and "I" in it. When I press those characters in the change APP password field these 2 characters do not get entered so I can not enter the root Sophos password to change the app password. So to reiterate, I can not change my APP password because I can not enter the Sophos recovery password. I can not uninstall, install any other apps or dial out on my phone as they are all protected under APP Protection. Any help please

  • Hello,

first I have to clarify one thing:
The "root-password" you are referring to, that you enter during boot of the device is not related to Sophos Mobile Security.
It is a password used by the OS to unlock your phone.

Sophos Mobile Security has only the app protection password as well as the recovery password.

After consulting with my college we cannot see any part where Sophos Mobile Security would prevent someone from entering the letters you specified.

    Regards
