Change device naming scheme after auto-enrollment with Apple Configurator on SMC 5.1

After an iOS device auto-enrollment, SMC gives a strange name to the device: <device-model> <serial-number> e.g. iPad4,3 CFSG4535DF.

Is there a way to change that?

    Hi Linnart,

    sorry for the late reply.
    The naming might change with SMC 6.1. scheduled for end of the first quarter.
    As far as I know the device name defined on the device itself will be used.
