Modify Apple Configuration File - Will it automatically push new settings to enrolled Apple Devices?

Question

I need to change some security settings to an existing config file created in the iPhone configuration utility. 
 My question is when I upload the new config file to SMC will it push out the new settings to all the enrolled Apple devices? 
 Or do I need to set up a task bundle to push it out manually? If so what is the best way? 
 I am running SMC 4.0.0.4 (upgrading to 5 then 6 in the new year)

Hi Nat, with SMC 4 you have to push out the new profile manually to all your devices in question. As of SMC 6 you will be asked whether you want to push out the changes made on the profile immediately to the devices or not. For the deployment in SMC 4 you can use the filter and search for all the devices having the profile currently installed. Then, you can send out the updated profile to these devices. Hope that helps.
