SMC Bootstrapped Client Packages need to be redeployed before SMC upgrade?

I have a client who has bootstrapped the client packages and enrolled their mobile devices that way. The client versions are mixed on version 4 and 5. Am I right in thinking that if I upgrade the Sophos Mobile Control centre to the latest version, I will have to create a new bootstrap with the latest version of the SMC client and redeploy before the upgrade happens?

    Hi Donald,

    if you are still using Sophos Mobile Control 4.0 you have to update to version 5 first.
    If you are using the Sophos Mobile Control app on iOS devices you have to make sure that they have the latest app version installed. If you are not using the SMC iOS app, there are no additional steps necessary as all things are done via the mobile device management profile.

    For Android devices, you have to update them first to the latest version. Otherwise, the devices won't synchronize anymore.
