Is there a way to disable or remove an iOS app (available through App Store) by using a profile?
If not, is there a way to create an app blacklist based on group membership?

Hi wyc,
due to the design of iOS it is not possible to force the uninstallation of an app if it was downloaded and installed by the user.
You can however configure different sets of compliance rules on the SMC server. Within this compliance rule, you can define either a whitelist or a blacklist of apps.
To define them, log in to the SMC web console as an administrator and select the "Compliance rules" view on the lef hand side.
There, you can add new complaince sets according to your needs. By default, only the "Default" compliance rule is displayed.
Once you have created different compliance settings you can specify them for each device group using the "Device groups" view. Click on "Device groups". Edit a group and specify which compliance set should be activated for this group.
In there, you can also differentiate between company and employee devices.
Additional information regarding the compliance settings can also be found in chapter twelve of the "Administrator guide" available on our documentation page here.
I hope this helps.
Best regards
Stefan
