Do the devices connected to SMC have the email data encrypted?

Hello,
the internal EAS Proxy included in SMC uses SSL encryption to transport the mails to the devices.

thanks Thomas. Does this mean that only the traffic is encrypted and once the emails hit the device they're not encrypted?
