Do NOT Mark Messages as Read

I am using SMC on a Windows 8 Phone.  Can functionality be set to NOT mark messages as Read when simply scrolling thru and deleting junkmail from the Inbox?  Also... when deleting an Email, can functionality be set to move to the next msg below instead of above?  I suspect I am expecting too much from a mobile Email app.  Many thanks...     Hi JSM,

    Sophos Mobile Control for Windows Phone 8 is not an email application.
    This is a device managment app which can configure an email account on the device which is then shown in the built-in email client of your Windows Phone 8 device.

    However, we don't have any influence on the behavior of your installed email application / the email account.
