Is it possile to not have the play store locked but have the action of installing an app locked?

Hello,

yes this is possible.

Sophos Mobile Secutiry protects every app that is able to close Sophos Mobile Secutiry. The App Store is one of those.

If you install the App Guard (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.sophos.appprotectionmonitor), Sophos Mobile Secutiry does not protct the App store anymore since the guard protects Sophos Mobile Secutiry from beeing closed.
