need to change URL for self service portal

I recently installed SMC on a server, and after creating a user and sending the email welcome message, I noticed that the url for the SMC self service portal is incorrect. I must have mistyped it during setup. I need to go back and fix it, but I don't see a place to adjust that setting. I even tried to Configuration Wizard again, but the only place it even asked for the url was during the certificate part (self-signed), and once it got to verification it was back to the incorrect domain name.

Does anyone know how to adjust this setting? This should be much easier to change as needed...

    Hi,

    the URL is requested before the order, as it is encoded in your license file. The license.sql file has a header, which show the names as they are encodes as comments. Please check if they are correct and match you server. If not, you need to contact your sales to request a license file change with the new URL.

    Thank you for the info. This is an NFR license and I wasn't asked specifically for the URL when I requested it, so I guess a mistake was made. Will I be able to just put in the new file and have it work, or will I need to reinstall completely, or just run the config executable again?

    HI,

    the simplest solution would be a deinstall - reinstall. I assume, you are using a self-signed certificate, which would need to be replaced by a new server URL. Given the simplicity of the installation, the deinstall/reinstall is the quickest way

    You will NOT require a wipe and reinstall in order to update the URL within the license file. Obtain a new license from Sophos, then run the configuration wizard after replacing the old license file with the new one. You can then go through the Config Wizard again only changing the section you require (Cert, for example).

    If in future you have an updated license because you wish to use more devices, but the URL is the same, simple run the License Update Wizard found in the Tools Directory
