MOBILE_Android_smsreg_andr/gedma-a
Hello,
First of all, I would like to apologize for my bad English. I am from Germany and my English is not really good . Unfortunately, there is no community or support in German. So I hope to find help here.
A few days ago, I installed Sophos Mobile Security on my Android Smartphone. I had some other scanner before, but no virus or trojan was has been found so far.
Now, Sophos Mobile Security founds the following threat:
SmsReg
Andr/Gedma-A
According to the sophos website it is a trojan. More information are given here
http://www.sophos.com/en-us/threat-center/threat-analyses/viruses-and-spyware/Andr~Gedma-A.aspx
The side was updated in Dec. 2014 09:02:26. The link for "free Virus Removal Tool" guides me to a Windows-compatible version, but no Android-version is available.
Yesterday I made a reset to the factory defaults, but the first scan after the new installation founds the threat again.
I detected some articles in internet platforms which say that obviously some new smartphones arme already delivered with the installed trojan. For example in chinese smartphones. My smartphone is a Wiko Barry.
How can I delete this threat? How dangerous may it be?
I would really appreciate your help. Thank you very much for your help. And again: I am very sorry for my English...
Ida
