Standalone EAS Proxy and multiple different Exchange Servers

Hi,

If I have multiple customers with their own Exchange Servers and I install the Standalone EAS Proxy at customer site, how does the SMC know which EAS Proxy is for which customer?

After the EAS Proxy installation I'm able to import the resulting certificate to the SMC but where do I select the customer to which the specific Proxy should be assigned?

Thanks for your help.

  • Hi radion1,

there is no link between the certificate and the customer.

The certificate is only used to secure the connection between EASProxy and SMC-Server from the different instances.

If a device connects to the EAS Proxy it provides his ActiveSync ID. The SMC Server then checks to which device on the server the ActiveSync ID belongs to and if the device is allowed to receive emails or not.

This is not related to a specific customer or certificate you upload.

    Best regards
    Stefan
