Sophos Mobile Control Andriod apk

Hello World,

I may be asking a dumb question but when I download the apk file to upload to our smc server, it just gives me a zip, and I am not sure which file to upload, so far none have worked. Any nudge in the correct direction would be helpful.

Hi Malcolm,
the Sophos Mobile Control Android client can be downloaded within our download section on Sophos.com.
There, you will find the download called "3.6 SMC Android Client" which should only be the APK-File.
I tried the download on my machine and it directly gave me the APK.
Where have you tried to download the client?
If you add an Android application package, you should always use files with the .apk extension, nothing else.

Got a .zip file when using IE, image attached, switched over to chrome and got the .apk file when attempting download.

Hi Malcolm,
you are right, I was able to reproduce that behavior with the Internet Explorer.
I forwarded that to our website team to see if they can solve that.
Once I got an update from them, I will post it here.

The problem has to do with IE.
We experienced the same problem that the download was an ZIP-file.
But when downloading the SMC android cliënt package with Mozilla firefox you will get the option to save an APK-file.
