configure settings

Hi All,

I've been using SMC for a number of years now. The one thing I haven't ben able to find, which I think would be useful, is to be able to set the Web control , Theft settings etc  in Sophos Mobile security by using the SMC management console. Whether this is by using a profile or task I don't care. it is quite annoying to have to go in and set all the permissions on the web control and theft settings etc on each device even though they are the same on all.

Does anyone know if this can be done - and obviously I don't want users changing them.......or at least the settings to be refreshed each time the device syncs.?

    Hi Ant1,

    you can configure the settings of Sophos Mobile Security if you have an "Advanced license" activated for Sophos Mobile Control. Once the Advanced license is activated you can configure an "Antivirus" and "Web filtering" profile which you can deploy to the devices. As soon as such a profile is applied the app will go into the "Managed" mode and disable the settings for the user. Furthermore, the "Loss & Theft" section is completely removed as the features in there are (mostly) covered by Sophos Mobile Control.

    If you don't have an Advanced license key yet, please contact your Sophos Sales representative.
