Running malware in quarantine or cleanup failure

I found a thread about clearing this alert but it all seems to be clearing the alert locally. Is there a way to do this remotely? I understand the importance of checking the local device as well though. How do I find and clear out the file as well at the local computer? At this stage of the alert is the computer safe?
