News: Feature update

Overview

Email is a critical business application in most organizations, so we are pleased to announce that the latest release for Sophos Email adds a 24/7 emergency inbox to your existing suite of business continuity features - keeping users productive even during Microsoft Office 365 or Google Cloud downtime.

How it works

In the event of third party cloud email service provider outages, alerts are provided if mail can’t be delivered to a server/service, email is then queued for delivery to ensures no email is lost, and access to that queued email is now provided from a 24/7 emergency inbox inside the end user portal.

Remarks

  • Updates will be automatically applied to your Sophos Email service in Sophos Central
  • Any custom settings will be unaffected by the change

  • How can I release emails trapped inside the Emergency Inbox but does not show up in Quarantine?

    • Hi ,  You may have experienced issues at the beginning of the week whereby releasing quarantine emails was not working, this has now been resolved. If you are still having issues I would suggest raising a case with our Support Team so they're able to investigate.

      • @Richard Beckett thanks for the reply.  But my issue is not with quarantine email. But as I stated, it's emails that come into the Emergency Inbox that do not go to my mailbox.  There currently are no options to release the emails that are trapped in there.

        • Hi , Ok, in that case I'd definitely contact support, we need to dig into this in more detail to understand what's happening for you.
