Unable to update from 9.300-5

I only have one update available which will allow me to upgrade from 9.300-5 to 3.100-2 but the system isn't recognizing the update. I have uploaded manually and still no luck. I have checked the file structure and it is going into /var/up2date/sys

When I run the auisys.plx manually it doesn't even look like it checks that folder for an update.

Has anyone else experienced this problem?

  • I don't think that it will be helpfull to update from 9.300 to 3.100... ;-)

How is your automatic update configured?
What does the Up2Date log state?
Have you downloaded all necessary up2date files?

  • Jon, I'm not sure why you're having a problem.  If you're not using High Availability, try, as root, the following.

Confirm that the directory is empty:

    cd /var/up2date/sys
    ls -l

    Download and prepare for installation:
    wget ftp.astaro.com/.../u2d-sys-9.300005-301002.tgz.gpg
    wget ftp.astaro.com/.../u2d-sys-9.301002-302002.tgz.gpg
    wget ftp.astaro.com/.../u2d-sys-9.302002-303002.tgz.gpg
    wget ftp.astaro.com/.../u2d-sys-9.303002-304009.tgz.gpg
    /sbin/auisys.plx --showdesc

    Then install in WebAdmin.

    what can i do?
  • Did you confirm that the /var/up2date/sys directory was empty before downloading the Up2Dates?  In any case, I would download the u2d-sys-9.303002-304009.tgz.gpg file again, making sure there isn't already one in /var/up2date/sys.
