Can I use DNS round robin for redundancy for the SVE agents until Sophos comes up with something or would this not work.
Would it work to put it behind a load balancer, such as a kemp? We are in the same boat, would like to deploy the new version but having to pin each VM to a specific SVE is a deal breaker for us.
Hello ChisagoMICS
TBH I am not sure, let me talk to my engineering team and I will get back to you.
cheers

Mark,
When can we expect a future release?
SAV for vShield was much more robust, this feels half-baked by comparison. The lack of redundancy is a BIG deal.

Currently there is a one to one trust relationship between the GVM and SVM. Attempting to connect to another SVM will end in the connection being refused.
This is addressed as part of the SVE.1.2.0 release, this will allow you to specify multiple IP addresses, so if the 1st SVM goes down the Guest VM will connect to the next. We are in planning of this project soon, so as soon as I have any time frames I will let the forum know.
1.1 release will have GVM reporting in Central, so customers can see what GVMs are connected to a SVM. They will also be searchable and have the option to view All/Servers/Desktops
