Guest VM Agent Installation Failure

The Guest VM Agent installation fails with the error "sophos gvm management service failed to start".  It looks like the account the installer creates does not have sufficient rights to start the service.  This is a new Windows Server 2016 VM.  Has anyone experienced this issue?

  • Networking is good - confirmed by the fact that I was able to roll out to all other servers across different hosts.

Just those problematic DCs but like you said earlier Tyler, when I set the SGVMManagementService to local system the installer runs through ok but the following services do not get created as they should:
    Sophos Guest VM Agent
Sophos Guest Vm Agent Event Service
    Sophos GVM Scanning Integration Service
    Sophos GVM Scanning Service

Net effect is the installer looks like it's completed ok but the guest is not protected.
