Sophos Messenger says we are still on version 5.1.0 after upgrade

I have Sophos Enterprise Console running on a Windows 2008 R2 server.  I just upgraded to SEC 5.5.0 from 5.1.0.  The upgrade appeared to go through without any errors or difficulties.  When I go into the Enterprise Console, and go to Help/About Sophos Enterprise Console, the Product Version is 5.5.0.

However, everytime we restart the server, Sophos Messenger still comes up with the message "Sophos Enterprise Console is not supported.  Your SEC version 5.1.0 is not supported.  Please update the SEC to the latest version 5.5.0. "  Why is it not seeing the upgrade?

  • Maybe Messenger still has the message in the queue from when we weren't upgraded. If I run the Policy Evaluation Tool manually it doesn't say anything about us not being upgraded.  I guess I'll just click "Do not show this message again" and see if it shows up again seven days later.
