Issue: Policy Evaluation Tool (PET) service installing on remote Sophos Update Managers

**UPDATE 2** Planned release for June 6th that will address these issues.

**UPDATE** Customers may also experience a failure to start of the Sophos Policy Evaluation Service  on the Management server.

If you have a remote SUM, you may notice the presence of the Sophos Policy Evaluation Service. The service will be stopped as the associated software is not installed. Please see the 'Known Issues' section of this KBA for more information: https://community.sophos.com/kb/en-us/122615

  • Hi.

    I have tried running the PET manually and am getting the following error:

     

    I have checked and can see the PET service is running on the server and the PET is running OK automatically.

    Grateful if anyone can advise on what the issue is. Server is VM Windows 2008 R2 64 Bit.
