Error: The VMRC Console has Disconnected.. Attempting to reconnect

Hello

We are getting the following error message on one of our PC's when trying to open the console through Vmware "Error: The VMRC Console has Disconnected.. Attempting to reconnect".

If we uninstall and reinstall Sophos it works with no issues, a few weeks later we get the error "Error: The VMRC Console has Disconnected.. Attempting to reconnect" if we stop the Sophos Anti Virus service it work fine.

Andy Idea's?

    We have just switched to Sophos Endpoint and I am experiencing this exact issue.  Confirmed that it is Sophos by disabling realtime protection.  vSphere console works with Previous Sophos Endpoint Security and Control which we are switching from.  I have excluded the vSphere program folder from the scans but the problem still exists.  

    RachelLade, did you manage to resolve this? I would also appreciate help with this (although considering this post is two years old I'm not going to hold my breath).
