  • Hello Bruno Novis,

error 1618 is: Another installation is already running (in other words, the Windows Installer is busy with other work). Whatever is running could have been the cause of the failed updates as well.

  • Thanks for your reply QC.

There is a way to kill this update?

I tried to restart the computer but i got nothing.

  • Hello Bruno Novis,

can't say what this update is, apparently it commences again after a reboot. Could be a number of things, including a Windows update.
If you open the Task Manager →Show processes from all users you'll see usually two msiexec.exe processes, one with obvious activity. If you kill it other installs (e.g. Sophos) will run. To find out what it really is  Process Explorer might help.
