Configuring updates

Are you required to complete the secondary location screen in the configuring updates function?  What username is the function looking for - the login to the sophos site, the login for the product, a valid login for the actual server the product is installed on or something completely different.  What works?  (sophos anitvirus v9, Windows Server 2008 Itantium)

    Hello billfil,

    I assume you are talking about the Updating Policy. I think the help is quite clear here (chapter 19.3 in the PDF: Select a source for updates), it might do no harm consulting it: You are not required to specify a secondary location and the credentials will be used to access the server publishing the share/webfolder.
