uninstall mac SEC silent

Hi we're having problems migrating our macs to our new Enterprise Console server.

To do this (as far as I know) we need to first uninstall and then install again.

We use the standard uninstall tool however, it looks like it is not able to run as a silent uninstaller.

It just keeps popping up with a screen where the user needs to click OK / Continue a few times.

Since we need to migrate 250 macs, located in 5 office locations this is not a good solution.

Does anyone know a way how we can silently uninstall sophos????

We run this command to remove Sophos via IBM Endpoint Manager, but you can also do it via the "Send UNIX Command" in Apple Remote Desktop or via an SSH connection:
installer -pkg "/Library/Sophos Anti-Virus/Remove Sophos Anti-Virus.pkg" -target /

Unfortunately, since we are on version 9.1.6 there no longer is a .pkg uninstaller
It now is a .app file
So far no luck.....

unfortunately that also is not silent.
it throws up a screen to the user which must acknowledge the uninstall......

Removing SAV from a SEC managed endpoint containing SAV 9.1.6:
sudo /Library/Application\ Support/Sophos/opm/Installer.app/Contents/MacOS/tools/InstallationDeployer --remove
works for me.
Note that there are two copies of InstallationDeployer. Use the one in tools.
sudo /Library/Application\ Support/Sophos/opm/Installer.app/Contents/MacOS/InstallationDeployer --remove
will display the dialog which you report.

great that worked, did find the one without tools before but this one never.
maybe good idea to put it in the new version of the documentation in the future???

That path (with the tools folder) is documented in the article I linked you to however you posted back that it didn't work. :smileyfrustrated: I'm confused as to what isn't in the article that should be.

Can I ask: What did you try from the article that didn't work? And what documentation did you read that we could look to include the command in?
