0000006b errors on console. IIS not running.

Hi.

6b errors. Download of Sophos clean Failed from server \\******\SophosUpdate\CIDs\S018\OPMHMPA

Latest versions with exploit protection.

The only clues i seem to get about this error are saying about editing IIS on the server. But, we don't have IIS running as far as I can tell on our enterprise console? So i'm a little stuck as how to fix these errors.

Sometimes it works fine on the same client (windows 2012 server) and other it just says failed. Do I just accept as long as it shows it updated successfully sometimes that is fine ? or any ideas on how to solve this bearing in mind iis isn't as far as i'm aware running on the Sophos server.

As for IIS, you can share our a distribution point with a web server such as IIS but from the location in the error it appears your clients are just using UNC paths. In which case IIS doesn't apply to you.

It looks like it's an intermittent issue with a couple of servers running Win 2012R2. I think it might be down to firewalls etc... i'll look into it more but it looks to be more a client issue than a problem on the server end.
