Transcend Jet220 Security Flash Drive not working

Hi, I have a Transcend JFF220 flash drive and we use the latest version of Enterprise End point for our Desktop security. I have a policy to block pen drives for certain computers and an allowed policy for other computers. We have transcend flash drives with the fingerprint scanner. These devices used to work, but I have tried to use it today and the jet220.exe program does not fire up. If I use the device in a computer that has a standalone sophos anti virus on it without the device policy it works ok.

Has anybody come across this problem with Transcend fingerprint devices?

Thanks,

KJW

  • Hello KJW,

which Sophos version(s) are you using? Do you have an idea when these drives last worked? And what exactly does the policy specify, that is - Full Access for all types of removable storage or perhaps for Secure Removable Storage only and Blocked otherwise? Which rights does the user have?

Does the log (perhaps set to verbose) show anything? Any alerts in SEC? And does it work if you just trun off Device Control?
