Disable delete option in sophos client schedule scan

Hi All,

Schedule scan is able to delete in sophos client ,can you please let us know the process in sophos enterprise console how to disable delete option in schedule scan.

    Hello Sudheer.E,

    please see the relevant section in the console help. how to disable delete option - it's, BTW, not enabled by default (unless you are meaning automatic cleanup which might result in deletion).

    Hi Chris,

     

    Thank you for your reply. 

     

    my problem is that if i create a schedule scan policy in enterprise console it is showing in client machine. in sophos client if we click on scan we are able to get delete option of schedule scan which i have created to run at a particular time ,i do not  want the users to delete that schedule scan, is there a way to do this.

    Hello Sudheer,

    oh, I see. It wasn't obvious what you meant.

    Now, only a member of the SophosAdministrator group (the group is populated with local administrators at installation time) can delete a scan he/she hasn't created. Except for the Updating Policy SophosAdministrators can change or disable pretty much everything. You've probably enabled Tamper Protection, haven't you?
    Neither Tamper Protection nor Enhanced Tamper Protection (aka Endpoint Defense) prevent deleting a scan though AFAIK. The reason is probably that it's not feasible )if it is possible at all) to "protect" a scheduled task (the scan is just this).
