osx standalone installer with update preconfig

Hi,

I have followed the instructions shown on this page in order to create a stand alone installer for OSX, which is preconfigured with an update location, username and password. https://community.sophos.com/kb/pl-pl/119744

I have packaged up the installer in a .dmg and tested it on my own Mac (10.12.4) and it worked as expected. However, other users that have installed from the same .dmg file are finding that the install completes but the updatelocation, username and password details are not populated and therefore will not update. It is as if the installer is not reading the Sophos Installer Components/updateconfig.plist and therefore cannot configure the installation correctly.

Has anyone experienced this, or have any insight in to why my installer is only working for some users?

Hello Edward Potter,

I've been using it since it became available, We don't have many Macs but of all flavours and OS versions and I haven't seen that it didn't work. Managed installs though, and the CID just zipped up but it shouldn't make a difference.
Might be necessary to collect the logs (I think the tool is now already "on-board") and send to Support.
