Wireless bridging error

Hello everyone,

Recently I have set up wireless bridging.

When connected to the network, wireless is disabled.

When I unplug the ethernet cable, Wifi is restored successfuly.

So the wireless bridging control is working properly, however I am getting errors.

At this point I am plugged into our network domain

When I unplug the ethernet cable 3 events are logged

Any reason for these errors? Bridge control is working properly.

Thank you!

  • Hello Andrew Kraska,

pragmatic approach: If everything works as it should ignore the error.

From the device ID it looks like a USB modem, perhaps a dongle, Huawei. Anything like this ever plugged in? Can you find it in the Device Manager? Seems that it is registered but not actually present.

  • You're a wizard Christian!

Thats exactly what it is, hahaha

I am using a huawei adapter for ethernet>usb on this laptop as it doesn't have an ethernet port.

I have no hardware conflicts in the Device manager, and when I am plugged into the domain(using the huawei adapter) it shows up in USB controllers.

When I disconnect, the adapter driver dissapears.

Slightly curious of the cause for the error.

But thank you kindly for your help!
