Post Image Behavior

We are an educational institution and are preparing to refresh approximately 320 units.  We would like to include Sophos AV in the image.  After reading this article ( https://community.sophos.com/kb/en-us/120560 ) I wanted to ask if the newly installed image, will the Sophos instance automatically update to the most recent version?  I realize that it will get a new unique ID but will it also update?

    Hello Wade Pritchard,

    you've linked the article for Central so this would be the better forum group. The behaviour is in principle the same though, the endpoint has already an update location configured and with Central it's one that provides the latest version. When the endpoint registers it will also get the current policies. The version shouldn't be too old but you'll likely refresh it regularly.
