cannot open sophos endpoint security and control

Hi

I looked for (but did not find) an answer to this issue I am having.

I am trying to install Sophos Endpoint Security  and Control version 9.5 on a Windows 2003 R2 SP2 server.

Parts of it are being installed, but I cannot start the console (nothing happens, not even an error message. The services Sophos Antivirus (automatic/local service) and Sophos Antivirus status reporter (automatic/local system) are not started at startup or when manually started.

when starting the console through Start -> Programs -> etc. the errormessage appears : This application has failed to start because the application configuration is incorrect.

any ideas?

    Hello Ruud,

    it's not quite clear - at least to me - what you attempted (and what exactly doesn't work). when starting the console sounds like you are talking about the management server - but then the Sophos Antivirus service should not yet be there.

    Could you describe the exact steps you have taken so far (what did you run, where did you download it from)?
