Windows 7 - Enterprise Console

Currently running Sophos Enterprise 4.0 with 9.0 Client Installation. I am setting up our Desktop Team to have access and manage the Enterprise Console. One of our desktop team members is currently running Windows 7, and when I tried to install the Management Console it said that it not supported.

Is there a workaround to this?

Thanks,

  • HI,

I would say you're best bet is to upgrade the management server to SEC 4.5, this way the remote consoles will support Windows 7.  If this is not possible in the short term I would sugest having a look at:

The other option I guess would be to share out EnterpriseConsole.exe over something like Citrix or  Remote Desktop Services as part of Win 2008 R2.
