Maximum clients on a RMS relay ?

Hello,

we're working on the upgrade to Endpoint Security 9.5 for our 25000 clients.

We want to manage all of them through a unique console eo I understood I have to use RMS relay when it's over 5000 clients..

Could someone tell me how many clients can be assigned to each RMS relay ?

I didn't find this number on the Sophos Website (only the RMS relay needed over 5000 clients) ?

    Hi,

    When I enquired I was told that 25,000 was tested with 4 message relays, giving 6,250 per relay.  So I would suggest 7,000 would be the upper limit to ensure you remain "supported".

    It was also expressed that if I use relays, I should not have any clients directly connecing for the best topology.  It is also important that clients remain using the same relay once configured.

    In my experience I would avoid using Win 2008 where possible (2008 R2 should be ok) for SEC and relays.
