Sophos 4.52 for HP-UX: Error initialising detection engine [0x8007000e]

I downloaded the latest sohpos 4.52 for HP-UX (PA) and installed.

It works with HP-UX 11.11, but not 10.20.

It can be installed on 10.20 successfully, but when I run the sweep command, the following error shown:

Error initialising detection engine [0x8007000e]

Anyone hv idea?

I used to use the older versions of sophos w/o such problem... even the last version 4.51 still works....

0x8007000e is out of memory. You might want to check if the machine has enough memory.
If there is enough memory, then it might be worth contacting Sophos Support, and raising the case with them for a proper investigation.

How can I know my server got enough memory or not?
My server got 1GB memory already, it works with old versions of sophos for many years..
I just run "sweep -v" to show the sophos version, still got the same error...
The same even I reboot the server. :smileysad:

I am afraid "out of memory" may not apply to this case...
I found a KB described 0x8007000e is Ran out of memory, but it is talking about Windows platform... not HP-UX

Each month the virus data gets bigger, so the memory consumption goes up. However with 1Gb it's unlikely to be the problem. It's more like that there's some memory bug somewhere, so you probably ought be contact Support. You'll need to give them full details of the machine you are running SAV on.
