Connecting a Windows 7 Machine to Sophos Enterprise Console 4.5 Running Server 2003

I am trying to connect a machine that previously ran XP, but now is running Windows 7 on the same IP address to our Sophos server which is running Windows Server 2003.  We are using another linux machine running Samba as our domain controller, and windows 7 connects to it just fine, however if I try and find any windows 7 machines using the "find new computers" wizard, it comes up with nothing.  I'm not seeing ths behavior anywhere else online, so I'm guessing it may have something to do with the fact that I'm running Windows Server 2003?  Could that cause such behavior?

Thank you.

  • Hello ZBethel,

I'm not sure I understand you correctly: You are trying to Find Computers from SEC on the management server (W2k3, SEC4.5) and can't find any Win7 machine? Which option do you use? AD, Network or IP?
