Over 50% of Workstations have "Download of SAVXP failed from Server" Error

Today over half of our workstations appeared with Errors at the same time stating "Download of SAVXP failed from server \\Server\SophosUpdate\CIDs\S000\SAVSCFXP\ [0x0000006b]"

After rebooting the server and manually forcing the workstations to manually update, the number slowly went back down to zero.

Could anyone explain why this may have happened? It seems odd that only half of the workstations would have an error, also when manually doing the update it took a good 5 to 10 minutes for the update to complete. Is this normal?

Have you had a look at the following article:

This could be related to the Search Index service locking the updating files.
For the other half that were working, they might of have updated before or hadnt been scheduled to update yet.
