Update Webserver

So, I have followed the steps outlined in the document for making the installer package that the support folks sent me (Sophos Installer Package Creation with S.E.S. v9), and when I test it, it says it could not contact server. Where do I need to start?

    Well, this is rather succinct. As I can't find a document with the name you cited I don't know which steps you've taken and what the installer should do. It's also not obvious how far you get, where "it" says that and how it does "say". I can, for example, imagine that AutoUpdate is correctly installed but the (configured) update location is incorrect  - you'd get the Sophos icon with the red x and Could not contact server in the log. But that's just guessing. As you've mentioned Webserver - what's it's role, is this where the client should update from? So please, give us more details.
