Help removing "clean up manually" threats

I just ran a scan and found a lot of Java trojans within the computer but all of them read "clean up manually". However when I try to look at where they are located so that I CAN clean them up, the path is shortened in the middle, so I can't actually find the damned things. Any way to see the full path to the file?

I'm running a condensed scan (of user/library) but because it's such a large folder the search is almost the same size as the original full scan.

  • Hi,

Where are you seeing the entries? In the SAV.txt log viewer in SAV or in the Quarantine Manager?

What if you look in the file sav.txt (possibly archives as well), I don't think the paths are shortened in there, they are in the GUI for presentation purposes.

    \Programdata\Sophos\Sophos Anti-Virus\logs\sav.txt

    or

    \documents and settings\all users\application data\sophos\Sophos Anti-Virus\logs\sav.txt

    depending on OS.

    Regards,

    Jak

  • Hello Akeaka,

    a condensed scan (of user/library)

forward slashes indicate a Mac. There's a number of threads about cleaning up manually in the forum for the Home Edition (BTW - is it the one you use)?  To see the full path open the scan's log (in the Sophos Anti-Virus window select the scan and choose View Scan Log from the action menu at the bottom).
