Sophos Only checks to 2% and gets stuck

I have reinsatlled Sophos and not made any difference, it gets stuck in 166 scans and then just hangs its at 2%

Hi,

Is that at the "rootkit" scanning phase?

If you "Setup a new scan" in the "Scans" section and in the configuration, disable rootkits, does that scan complete ok?

Hi thanks for the reply it was falling over because of the hard disk. Ran shk disk and I had bad sectors so fixed and it now scans 100%. Thanks for the responce
