Sophos Compliance Agent error

We have the Endpoint trial installed on a server which is running fine.  I created groups and policies, the used the Protect Computers wizard to install only the Anti-Virus component to the server without a problem.  Then I added our first Windows XP computer (all of the latest Microsoft Updates installed) to a group and used the Protect Computers wizard to install the client.

Now, when the computer reboots, we receive the following error: "Sophos Compliance Agent has encountered an unrecoverable error and must close.  Refer to the agent log for details." after logging in.  I couldn't find a .LOG file un the Sophos Compliance Agent folder.

So, I checked the computer's Services and noticed the "Sophos Compliance Agent API" service was not started, and after trying to manually start it, I received this error: "Could not start the Sopho Compliance Agent API service on Local Computer.  Error 0x80004005: Unspecified error".

I went to uninstall the Sophos Anti-virus program to try and reinstall it, then another error popped up stating only users from the SophosAdministrator user group are only able to uninstall the program.  I verified several times that my Domain Administrator AD account is listed in the SophosAdministrator AD group.

So far, the trial is not going well.  Any ideas?
