Control Centre install to Windows 7

I just want to be sure I understand this correctly. With the Control Centre installed on a Windows 2003 server, you cannot use the "Protect New Computers" function to install Sophos on a straight out of the box networked Windows 7 computer?

Although you can use group policy to reduce the work, you still need to modify the settings in "Windows Firewall with Advanced Security" on the client Windows 7 computer directly.

Is this correct?

Thanks.

you will need to check the windows firewall settings on the server and the machine with window 7.

the following ports need to be open on TCP and UDP: 8192, 8193, 8194 to allow communication between the two machines.

Or you can turn off the firewall completly.

this will allow you to protect the machine. The communciation uses the RMS(remote management system) component.

    Kind Regards
