Help with failing Install of Endpoint 9.5

Installed the Master Server, but now need to install the Child Servers for Sub-networks.  I keep on getting the error that the refers to 110332 which basically says I can not upgrade from 3.x to 4.5 and the install fails. When I click on the 110332 from the Knowledge base it points me back to the install website where I got all the information from originally.  What am I doing wrong? Conflicting websites say to stop the Remote Manager. Did this but got no further!! I' m feed up with this install. Please Help.

    do you mean Child SUMs (as there are no child management servers)? They are installed from the SumInstallSet share. Might be that I misunderstood your question though. What "existed" on those child servers and what are you trying to install?

    I might not have explained myself to well.  The Child SUM is my terms is a server that downloads the updated virus definitions from the Main Sophos server. We are trying to install enterprise server 4.5 from version 3.x.  Removed the Remote Update Manager as instructed by still giving error notices to knowledgebase110332 indicating that I can not upgrade directly to Enterprise console 4.5 from 3.0 which then send me back to read the article on the main upgrade web page, but not directly to the information I need.  Which article or instructions should I be looking at?

    So you want to upgrade a full management server which does not download from Sophos but from your main server, did I understand this correctly? Child SUM usually means a server with only the upating component (up to 3.x  the EM Library).

    The upgrade from 3.x is a two-step process. Did you run the Upgrade Advisor? As 111071 (and 111072) say it should have given you instructions together with the links to the required downloads (I've upgraded to 4.0 when it became available so I can't say how the look).
