Firewall error

Hey,

Server: Enterprise Console 4.5.1

Clients: All running 9.5

I have a users computer that is reporting a Firewall error back to the console. I have searched the sophos webite and the forums but I have not found any reference to this error:

Code: e0080837          Description: Failed to connect to database, error 4294965685

This error is repeating itself almost every day. It has shown up on this users computer on the 25, 26,29,30 (twice) of November, and 1st of December.

I was wondering if anyone has come across this message before? I am curious what might be causing it.

I still have to get my hands on the logs from this PC so that I can take a look at what might be going on.

    never seen it, guess it refers to the log database. Does the firewall log on the client look correct? If so, are there any entries in the SCF System log (the last item on the tree to the left) indication an error with the database?

    I think you should call support (unless you want to experiment on your own).

      Thank you for your response.

      I have looked at the logs on the users computer and I have not really seen anything that looks out of the ordinary.

      I am not entirely sure what you are referring to with the SCF System log tree.

      I am wondering if maybe something is wrong with the installation of Sophos on the users PC because theirs is the only one reporting this error.

        SCFF system log

        Might be the installation or it might be that another component using the JET services is causing it. What are the log settings for SCF?
