Clients out of date...

Hi all,

since the beginning of the year I installed the new 9.5 End Point console.

In the main console I see a lot of clients, more or less the half within the infrastructure, reporting that they are out of date (February). Instead from the client side they are up to date (today, the 11th April 2011).

I’’’’ve already checked on the support/discussions and I’’’’ve seen few replies talking about the file “status.xml”. Deleting that file the problem disappeared....

Any idea for this annoying problem ?

Many thanks for your help

Luca

  • Good Day Gugla

if you delete status.xml file it will resolve the issue, once deleted, force a update on the workstations, this will allow them to report back to the console with the current state, therefore also create a new 'status.xml' file.

to find the files here are the locations:

Find and delete the status.xml file from the following location:

    (Windows 2000/2003/XP) C:\Program Files\Sophos\AutoUpdate\data\status\
    (Windows Vista/7/2008): C:\ProgramData\Sophos\AutoUpdate\data\status\

    kind regards

    • Hi Reaper87,

thanks for the reply. In fact this is what I done and I mentioned on my message.

It resolves the problem but it would be nice if there is a better solution, especially because I have tens of WS with this issue....

      Kind regards,

      Gugla
