Hello NDR users/developers,
On the console of one of our NDR sensors I noticed the update information of the underlying OS (Ubuntu) in the MOTD (see attached screenshot). There seem to be 118 updates available (of which 84 security updates!) since I deployed them, and the numbers are rising.
While access to the NDR sensors is severely limited by network and closed services/ports, it still doesn't sit right with me to have a bunch of unpatched Linux servers in my infrastructure. I've asked Support the same question: why don't the NDR sensors update automatically, and will deploying the security packages break appliance certification/support? I noticed the version of NDR did increment since the installation, but I guess that doesn't encompass any OS related updates.
Any thoughts?
