You can install Sophos Endpoint, are you managing your devices via Sophos central? 

Yea, I was just worried about Sophos taking away from CPU performance.

It'll be fine.

It works, we have it on 80 of them, but if you are using Security Heartbeat to authenticate users against an XG firewall the be prepared for problems when the Surface goes to sleep the endpoint can take ages to re-authenticate the user and sometimes no at all until you reboot.

Not that we have found yet, still have a ticket open with Central, It's possibly something to do with the dodgy Intel wifi device used in these, the AX201 combined with a TCP idle timeout problem, keeping the surface pro firmware up to date seems to help a bit but not fully. If we figure it out I will post an update.
