Sophos Central endpoint agent Diagnostic Tool, Update Credentials question

I am looking for more information on what the Used Credentials in Update tab in Diagnostic Tool are.

    Thank you for answer. Is't this confidential information? It's just one word in plain text.

    Also is this information saved in the installation file when downloading it from portal or pushed to client when it installs/updates?

    Hello JerzyT,

    I must admit I don't know the details of updating when used with Central. [:)]
    Clearly the endpoint must identify itself by some means. I assume this isn't actually a plain text password but a token or some obfuscated string. For the on-premise version credential information is stored in iconn.cfg in %ProgramData%\Sophos\AutoUpdate\Config\. The cedentials are likely set during initial installation.
