Hello guys, I downloaded sophos's free version of antivirus on my mobile lenovo zuk z2 plus which is on android 7 yesterday, as of right now. I also downloaded its companion app which was required for app protection. But, I have doubts the app is running in the background, as whenever I open and close it, a message pops up saying ' Please wait until the app starts' and then goes. The app is not even present on the notification panel[it should be, right? ]. I disabled this app for battery optimization, gave it administrative rights as well as accessibility, but I think apps autorun by itself on android 7 and higher without giving special autorun permissions. I hope somebody sheds light on these predicament. Thank you for reading.
