SafeGuard Clients cannot receive policies, keys and certificates

Our company is using Sophos SafeGuard Enterprise 8 for almost a year.

In recent days, the SafeGuard Clients cannot synchronize and receive policies, keys and certificates from the Management Console without changing any practice.  Clients machine with newly installed SGE8 cannot receive any policies from the server to kickstart BitLocker encryption.  Existing clients who have changed password cannot receive latest key and certificate so that they cannot decrypt the encrypted files which has severely affect their operation.  Uninstall/Reinstall does not solve the problem.

However, when we run SafeGuard Enterprise Client/Server Connectivity Check (SGNCSCC.exe), the result is a straight pass.

  • Hi - When you log onto the console, does all look well? There's no pending Windows updates or the server prompting to restart is there? Have you tried restarting the server? It may be present/hosting IIS but it may not be performing as it should?

I'd also check ALL the Sophos SafeGuard services are running on the server, in particular check the transport service (although with this being troublesome I would expect the CC tool to pick up on!)
